The Ugly Dumplings
Our Club:
Duck Duck Books was founded in 2021 by Lavender Chen, a passionate reader as a child who hopes to turn her love for creating into something that can help engage more children in reading. While interning as Community Reading Buddies Youth Mentor for Aspire Education in 2020, Lavender learned first-hand how to keep young readers engaged during the height of COVID-19 pandemic. As the Youth Mentor, she used online digital literacy tool to teach K-3rd grader how to read. With freshly acquired knowledge, she founded Duck Duck Books with a group of fellow eager high school students looking to put their creative skills to great use. |
