Giving to those who are in need has always been an integral part of our work at Jezuba. Now, during a pandemic that has gripped the world and restricted many people from having access to necessary resources, the act of giving has become more essential than ever.
As part of our goal to provide people with the resources they need, we have launched our Global Giving campaign that will start off on December 1st with Giving Tuesday. The goal of Giving Tuesday is to help provide people living in rural, off-grid communities in Burma with solar LED lights. These lights serve as educational tools for children, as well as sources of light for reading, cooking and performing daily tasks that would otherwise have to be done in darkness or with dangerous kerosene lamps.
On Giving Tuesday, Jezuba will launch the sale of new, beautifully designed, hand-crafted greeting cards, with free shipping and 100% of the proceeds going directly towards providing these remote communities with solar lights. Purchasing a set of greeting cards serves not only as an aesthetic, multi-purpose means of communicating thanks or congratulations, but also gives us the opportunity to extend our outreach to more people.
Jezuba’s goal through our Global Giving campaign is to raise at least $5000 from at least 40 different donors. We hope you will join us in this goal. Together, Jezuba will not only help you send cards and other store items to your friends and family, but also make sure that, during this holiday season, everyone can have a shining light in their life.
